DOn’t tease me.
Documentary film investigating the untold story of how an overlooked ’80s country B-side became a regional legendary line dance hit passed down by generations in a pocket of Louisiana.
If you grew up in Southcentral Louisiana,
you don’t need this explained.
You already know The Freeze.
You’ve done it at weddings.
At school dances.
At parties where someone inevitably yells, “PLAY THE FREEZE!”
But here’s the thing we discovered by accident:
Almost no one outside a 60-mile radius of Lafayette, Louisiana knows it exists.
That realization sparked a five-year documentary investigation, and now we need your help as we try to answer: When, where, and why did this happen, and why here?
Filmmakers Allison Bohl DeHart, Peter DeHart, Rachel Nederveld have teamed up with true crime sleuth Megan Broussard Maughan to finally solve these mysteries.
We need money pay for gas, hotels, food, and additional crew to make these interviews happen. Any amount helps! And if you aren’t able to donate at this time, just sharing it with others will help a ton as well.
